Saturday, December 11
9:30am -10:00am Peace Pole Ceremony ~ We will gather Saturday morning in the garden at the Ashe Cultural Art Center to dedicate a Peace Pole before the Walk a Mile for Peace.
10:00am – 12:00am Walk a Mile for Peace ~ The walk will begin at the Ashe Cultural Arts Center and finish there to kick off the Holiday on the Boulevard festivities. Please join us as we walk for peace through the heart of New Orleans. The walk will begin promptly at 10:00am since there is a police escort.
7:00pm- 10:00pm Dance for Peace with Kelly Love Jones, Mikuak Rai and others
Sunday, December 12
10:30am Audri Scott Williams will be speaking at the Unitarian Universalist Church on South Clairborne Avenue
2:00pm Free screening of the movie Ase: Igniting the Power Within, Audri Scott William’s documentary described as “video ceremony”
4:00pm Free screening of the movie For the Next 7 Generations, a film about the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers
Monday, December 13
12:00pm Water Healing Ceremony ~ at the Ward 9 Levees near the former location of the Holy Cross High School
Tuesday, December 14
The 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace Team will be helping the Latino Cooperative Farming Project at a field site.
