The 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace team spent last week at the Arrow-weed ranch in Winterhaven, Ca doing community service and participating in ceremonies to honor the life of Lewis ‘Mucaw’ Jefferson, a young man who walked across the nation calling for the protection of sacred lands of indigenous people. Our ceremonies included placing one of our peace pole engraved with Mucaw’s name on the property.
We were hosted by Preston Arrow-weed and his daughter Penelope (Mucaw’s mother). Our time at the Arrow-weed ranch was very special and we felt very honored to be guest on the ranch. Preston Arrow-weed is the founder of the Ah-Mut Pipa Foundation which seeks to stimulate and preserve tribal culture and history through education.

hello, I have been one step behind u now for 3 months. When I found out about the 13 walk I was just arriving in Orlando. I was one day behind you. You had just left. I wintered there and then set out to catch up with you in Texas. Again I arrived after you had departed. But due to the snow I decided to sit tight and wait. Finally I set out again to meet up with you in El Paso. Again I was behind, so I decided to turn north at Van Horn and make my way through New Mexico. Good choice seeing as you turned from your route and made stops that were not on your itinerary. I am at present sitting in Durango, CO with intentions of visiting the sacred lands of Mesa Verde, The Canyon of the Ancients, and talking with the Navajo. I will then turn toward California again. The problem I am having is that by the time I know where you are, you have been and are now gone. I have been on a spirit quest since March of 2009, moving from reservation to reservation always following where the Great Spirit is leading me, I just left the Jemez Pueblo. I am greatly interested in your cause and so much more. Is it possible to know where you will be with a bit more certainity in the next few weeks. My quest began in South Dakota and I think I will make a full circle by the time I have found my way. I have been all over this land since August of last year and have learned much. I have spoken with spirit talkers of many tribes. Aside from my quest or as a part of it I am being guide to follow after you and to eventually meet up with you. May I know where you will be in the coming weeks. If you are unsure, well the Great Spirit, Aportioner will guide me. May They Bless all your efforts….Mother is crying out for healing, listen closely and you will hear her…..our efforts do not go unnoticed. Bless you and walk in peace.
