We had an amazing full week in Los Angeles. The people who showed up and embraced our mission were what made it so special. We worked with children in an afterschool program in Watts, Los Angeles at CMHP (Coalition for Mental Health Professionals) founded and run by Dr. Sandra Cox to create a peace zone which included a peace garden and a peace pole. We held a healing waters ceremony at Santa Monica beach just shortly after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We did a Walk a Mile 4 Peace at MacArthur Park. We received the Season for Nonviolence Hero’s award from Agape International Spiritual Center, and did a screening of Ase’(scroll down on the linked page to find Ase’ available in our peace shop), Audri’s movie that share Wisdom of Elders from around the world. And we ended our stay with a visit to Dorcy Highschool to speak to 9th graders about creating peace in their world. Here are a few photo highlights…
