in the vortex

The walk has been travelling in a vortex the last week with the apex appropriately being Sedona.  After spending a few days there, the walk ceased moving in it’s typical linear fashion from point A to point B and looped back to Pheonix to spend a few days visiting with Marilynn ‘Omifunke’ Torres, who invited us to attend classes at South Mountain Community College’s Storytelling Institute.  The time we spent at the Storytelling Institute was both inspiring and healing.   Everyone on the 13 Moon Walk 4 Peace team appreciated the time that we spent with our gracious host and the beautiful Elder Brother Mountain behind her temple home.

We are now in Gila Bend, AZ on our way to Yuma, AZ.  Tonight we will begin a 9 day ceremony in celebration of the full moon for the purpose of continued healing for each of us, our community, the communities we will be walking through, and Mother Earth.
