On Sunday, September 26 at 4:00pm, an eternal flame, the Sacred Fire of the Thunder symbolizing the Iroquois Great Law of Peace will be received from Diane Longboat of the 6 Nations in Canada to be brought to Atlanta for the start of the walk on October 10, 2010. There will be three young leaders who will receive the flame at Six Nations; Jessica Powless, Michael Ware and Entwha St. Prix and bring the flame into the USA by crossing the Bridge of Peace in Buffalo, New York.

There will be a ceremony to honor the acceptance of the Sacred Fire of Thunder at the foot of the Peace Bridge in Front Park in Buffalo, New York. From there, the flame will travel to Williamsport, PA to be part of several ceremonies of peace in the city of Williamsport on Wednesday, September 29th.
