We the members of the Great Medicine Lodge of the Southern Circle which is the southern counterpart of the Lodge of the Sacred Fire of the Thunder from Six Nations Grand River Territory wish to relay our gratitude to all those who walk and carry the Sacred Fire from Ontario Canada down and throughout the U. S. We pray that you all know the part of history and prophecy that you are a part of. This path marks a great turning and remembrance to our Ancestors.
One of our ceremonial leaders father’s people along with peoples from the Carolinas left in the late 1700′s and migrated north into Canada seeking a safe place to raise their children and grandchildren. His father’s people settled at Six Nations. Now the sacred fire from the lands of Six Nations is being brought south. With the fire comes all the healing, prayers and ceremonies that have taken place over the years. Also, comes the prayers of those who are bringing the sacred fire south along almost the same old migration routes. How healing, how powerful, how amazing this event and journey is.
